How do I obtain an F1 Visa?
Students who wish to study with us on an F1 Visa can apply to our school and we will issue them an I-20 form. Students then apply fo ran F1 visa through the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate in their country.
Can I study if I'm here on vacation?
Yes, students can study short-term in the semi-intensive program on a B1/B2 Visa or Visa waiver, while they are on vacation in California.
Can I work formally in the U.S. on an F1 Visa?
No, you may not work while in the U.S. on an F1 visa while you are studying English.
Can I change my tourist visa (B1/B2) to a student visa (F1)?
Yes, however this may be a lengthy process as you will have to file an application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Form I-539. AEI can help you with this process. You will need to first apply to AEI. AEI will issue an I-20. Students are encouraged to get an immigration attorney to help them with the process.
Does AEI accept SACM sponsored students?
Yes, AEI will provide SACM students with an acceptance letter which they can then use to obtain a financial guarantee letter from the Saudi Cultural Mission.
Do you offer evening classes?
Yes, while AEI does not offer intensive English classes in the the evening, we do offer 1-on-1 or 1-on 3 classes in the evenings at a time convenient for students.
